About Me!

I grew up in a small town in Northern Saskatchewan called Love, yes I have heard all the jokes and some were pretty good. lol And when I say small town, I mean about 40 - 50 residents including cats and dogs.

I know I was Native and definitely got teased about it. It wasn't until my teenage years that I found out we were from The Yellow Quill Reservation. I didn't know much about anything and I am still learning but I had a curious heart. My grandmother Alice grew up in her younger years with her family on the Reservation, speaking their language Saulteau. It wasn't until years after she passed that I had questions. My mom was able to answer some, but not all, so I started to dig.

I currently live in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta with my husband Kendell of 28 years. We have 2 grown and married children. And I have 3 beautiful grandsons.

We are a hunting and fishing family, who process our own wild game.

My goal is to bring Native Artists and their businesses to the world, one seed bead or feather at a time. I myself love working with leather, making dream catchers and so much more. So whether you purchase one box or a single piece of product, Feathers and Ashe 53 is here for you!

Welcome!!

Our Story!

Our story began in the late summer months of 2024, me and a friend got talking about business ideas as I was looking for something. We talked about many different ideas but the idea of a customized gift box stayed on my mind. I decided to research a few different styles of product, trying to figure out what I was looking for. I decided to research Native Artists and female Indigenous Owned Businesses.

The more I researched, the more I discovered what I was searching for, everything about me and my story. It didn't take long and I was hooked and feeling a sense of responsibility to bring this to light. Feathers and Ashe 53 was born. I couldn't be more thrilled to be bringing this all to you. I hope you will join me on this journey and together we can grow!

Our Vision!

Our vision at Feathers and Ashe 53 is to help create a world of equality. We are all valued and we are all needed in order to keep balance and harmony in our world.

Our Values!

Our values at Feathers and Ashe 53 is to share our love, strength and determination in all aspects of our lives.

Celebrating 1 Year in Business!!

Hello everyone,

I am so excited to announce that I have reached '1 Year in Business' ! It has been a mixture of mixed emotions, some very long hours, HUGE learning curves, sleepless nights, and a little stress (lol) oh and did I mention a lot of TIME, a lot!!! But ALL so worth it!!! I have been overwhelmed and tired but I will keep going-I feel the passion growing within me to continue learning and loving this business and all of it's challenges.

I have had the privilege to work with some amazing Indigenous Owned Companies,(big and small)bringing you all their beautiful art and creations. As well as meet some very talented and inspirational people who have shared their stories, at the various events I have been able to attend. I look forward to continuing on my journey, learning and growing along the way.

A Huge thank you to my husband, Kendell for listening to me, reassuring me when I begin to doubt myself and lugging my bins to event after event. And of course taking me fishing when I needed the break! Thanks hun!
